This was the first song confirmed to be on the NMS EP. However, as of it yet (like the rest of the EP), it has not been recorded.

The song is about waking up to the fullness of life when you find love. When people talk about everything being brighter, and the the birds singing sweeter because they are in love, they are expressing the same thing as this song.

The Sleeper is one of two songs on the EP to have been written about Nex's girlfriend, Lizzy Mann.
